This seems to be the comicbook version of the TV series Early Edition.

In Early Edition, Gary Hobson would routinely receive the following day's newspaper, and then set about preventing as much of the bad news as he could from happening.

This comicbook is about a group of comic fans in the Marvel universe coming upon future issues of X-Men, and similarly wielding their foreknowledge to mankind's benefit.

It's a fun little romp, which 'gets' the comicbook fan mentality, and isn't at all ashamed about it. The characters understand, as the writer therefore surely must, the importance of a story, and indeed history, in which all the stated facts must remain true.

I guess I therefore spoilt things a bit when I out-nerded them and wondered why they needed to intervene in Marvel history. Surely in their comicbooks, the good guys had already won without their help?

I'm not 100% sure if this is a one-off issue, or part of an ongoing series. I very much hope the latter though.
